The Joint Forest Sector Questionnaire (JFSQ) collects data on removals, production and trade of wood and wood products. Statistics are collected annually, and the collection is co-ordinated by a number of international organisations, including the UN Economic Commission for Europe and the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).
Provisional results for the previous calendar year are released in May and final results are released in October.
Joint Forest Sector Questionnaire: Provisional 2024 data is set to be released on 22 May 2025 and Joint Forest Sector Questionnaire: Final 2024 data is set to be released on 16 October 2025. These will be the last releases of Joint Forest Sector Questionnaire data by Forest Research. Forest Research will continue to provide this return to the UNECE so future (and past) copies of the UK data can be found at the FAO website. If you have any concerns about this please contact us at statistics@forestresearch.gov.uk.
