My role at in the LUES team covers a range of projects and research topics. I am currently investigating the accessibility of woodlands to different members of the public, producing best practice guidance on woodland creation and management within Local Nature Recovery Strategies and undertaking fieldwork to establish long-term natural colonisation experiments.
Before joining Forest Research, I worked at the Future Trees Trust, a research charity focused on hardwood tree improvement, tree health and forest genetics. Prior to this I completed a PhD in Biochemistry and have enjoyed applying this education to forestry and woodland ecology.
