In this role, I will be extending the 3PG forest growth model to introduce multi-species dynamics into the current framework which includes both hydrological and nutrient cycling, as well as the standard above ground carbon allocation functionality.
My background is in theoretical metacommunity ecology, predominantly using numerical simulations to experimentally explore the links between local processes (interspecific interactions, environmental filtering and dispersal) and regional scale biodiversity patterns.
Additionally, these models were fit to data on macroinvertebrate, macrophyte and diatom occupancy patterns in rivers across England.
I completed my PhD and previous Post-Doctoral work at Queen Mary, University of London, under the supervision of Dr. Axel Rossberg.
