Anona leads the planning, implementation, and monitoring of a number of Nature for Climate projects, liaising with both Forest Research and DEFRA. In this role, she provides comprehensive project, administrative, risk and financial management support to project teams, ensuring delivery within time, scope and budget constraints. As a member of the Research Office team, Anona contributes to strategic systems’ development at Forest Research, driving continuous improvement across the organisation.

Anona has joined us from Forest Services, where she managed legacy grant programmes. She brings a wealth of experience from a number of sectors, with roles ranging from garden design and investment banking to management of a small charity, alongside 10 years in central government departments, where she spent a lot of time on EU funding programmes.

A Prince2 Practitioner, she holds a BA Hons in Modern Languages with Politics & Economics from the University of Westminster and a Post-Graduate Diploma in International Relations from the University of Kent/Vreie Universitat Brussels. She also holds Levels 1-3 in Securities & Futures Authority Industry and is currently studying for the Chartered Management Institute Level 3.
