Sawmill survey and survey of round fencing manufacturers;
Private sector softwood removals survey and woodfuel suppliers;
Expert Group on Timber & Trade Statistics estimates.
Estimates of the quantity of recycled wood used for woodfuel are produced by the Wood Recyclers’ Association (www.woodrecyclers.org).

Progress reports (1973-79) by Forestry Commission GB and Forestry Division NI for the eleventh Commonwealth Forestry Conference 1980, covering for each organisation, chapters on – forest policy, forest management, services to management, harvesting and market planning, utilisation of forest products and forest products research, and a statistical summary.
The reports cover a) what our woodlands are like today, b) how our woodlands might change over time, c) tree species of tree health interest, as well as methodology and maps.
A detailed review of forestry in England and Wales covering forest policy, the present status of forestry and the forest industry, and the potential for further planting.
Final report that sets out the different methods that have and can be used by forest managers and practitioners to estimate visitor, visit and total numbers of visits to woodlands. This report builds on guidance on visitor monitoring produced by the Forestry Commission Economic and Statistics Group.
