This interdisciplinary PhD role with the University of Edinburgh involves monitoring and evaluating the carbon and ecosystem impacts of woodland creation and peatland restoration in Scotland using advanced analytical, remote sensing, and participatory approaches to inform environmental policy and practice.

In this role you will carry out a wide range of environmental, plant health and crop surveys; lay out, maintain and assess field experiments; help with nursery work; and assist with managing contractors and auditing their work.

In this role you will support a range of projects aimed at furthering our understanding of the effects of climate and environmental change on the health and functioning of trees and forests across Great Britain.
