In this role you will provide strategic financial leadership for Forest Research – driving financial insight, governance, planning, reporting, project assurance, continuous improvement and team development to ensure robust, compliant and future‑ready financial management across the organisation.

In this role, you will work as part of a small team of Forest Research Workers based at Wykeham, North Yorkshire, carrying out a wide range of environmental, plant health and crop surveys; lay out, maintain and assess field experiments; and in cases assist with managing contractors and auditing their work.
