Statistician, Inventory, Forecasting and Operational Support
To contribute to policy development, monitoring and evaluation of sustainable forest management by providing statistical information, analysis and advice. Lead statistical support to the FC Expert Group on Timber & Trade Statistics (EGTTS).
Sheila Ward first worked for the Forestry Commission from 1997-1999 as Assistant Statistician, on loan from the Scottish Government. She returned as Statistician in 2002 and became the Forestry Commission’s Lead Statistician in 2011. The Statistics Team moved from Corporate and Forestry Support into Inventory, Forecasting and Operational Support (IFOS) and into Forest Research in April 2016.
