Mirabelle joined Forest Research in December 2023 as a Forestry Advisor, delivering training on forest ecology and silvicultural practices.

She also has experience supporting survey teams in Scotland, undertaking stocking density assessment, natural regeneration, and production surveys.

With her ecological and geographical background, Mirabelle can assist other members of the Forest Advisory Team on training in forest soil identification and plant indicator species for inferring soil quality.

Mirabelle completed a BSc in Geography at the University of Glasgow, with a focus on forest recovery after a fire disturbance as well as an MSc in Ecological Sciences where her thesis investigated the environmental factors contributing to the decline of Aleppo Pine health in the French Mediterranean forests.
