Overview

The Treescape Management theme aims to enhance the health and resilience of existing woodlands. Our research focuses on improving woodland management practices to support better forest conditions.

Key projects

  • Biodiversity in Commercial Forests: We’re studying how commercial forestry impacts biodiversity and how to manage it better.
  • Tree-Peat Interactions: Research explores the relationship between trees and peatlands to improve woodland management.
  • Wildlife Management: Projects are developing strategies for effective wildlife management in woodlands.

Why it matters

Effective management of existing woodlands ensures their health and sustainability. This research helps us preserve and enhance our forests for future generations, supporting both wildlife and ecosystems.
